During your stayAbergavenny has much to offer and most of it can be found nearby. While you're here make time for a walk along the river bank through Castle Meadows where you will see one of the best views of the Blorenge. In less than ten minutes you can be at Llanfoist Bridge with the Bridge Inn tempting you to call in and sample their excellent beer and friendly welcome. Entrance to Abergavenny Castle is free and a good place to entertain your children. On Sunday afternoons we recommend you enjoy the traditional jazz at the Hen and Chickens (plus their substantial homecooked traditional food). Friday night is music night at the King's Arms - another excellent menu with "early bird" bargains. The Angel Hotel with its superb food and bars is only three minutes walk away - many of our visitors are in Abergavenny to attend receptions and functions there. If you need a bacon roll to start the day - visit Harry's Bar for the best in town. Also the place to go for hot beef and pork baguettes and rolls and perfect coffee! It is usually possible to arrange transport to and from weddings and receptions held further out of town - please enquire when you make your booking. | ||
